UWS Women's Hockey falls to UW-EC

The UWS Women’s Hockey team lost to UW-Eau Clair by a final score of 1-0.  This game featured green uniforms worn by the Yellowjackets to raise awareness for mental health. 

Saige Patrick of the Yellowjackets committed a penalty for interference that allowed the Blugolds to take advantage of the power play, sneaking a goal past Natasha Singer.  This gave them the lead at the 14:20 mark of the first period.

The Yellowjackets couldn’t take advantage of any power play opportunities for the rest of the game.  Goaltender Paige Turner for the Blugolds made 28 saves behind the net in a shutout.  Her record as goalie for the season is 6-5-3.

Singer’s record as goalie for the Yellowjackets this season is 3-4-2.  She finished the game with 18 saves.
