The CopperDog 150 and CopperDog 40 brings 50 professional and recreational teams, 440 sled dogs, and over 5,000 of fans to Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula for 138 miles of sled dog racing through a pristine winter wilderness. This amazing race takes place annually the first weekend in March. Over the course of the weekend, the sled dog teams make their way from historic downtown Calumet, to the warm and welcoming community of Eagle Harbor, to the ever beautiful Copper Harbor, and then back to downtown Calumet again. Along the way, fans and volunteers cheer them on and provide friendly assistance.

The IronLine Sled Dog Race seeks to be the best little medium-sized race in the upper Midwest. Combining a great trail, awesome two-day format, an involved and supportive community, numerous local sponsors, and enthusiastic volunteers, The IronLine is a great addition to any sport or pro-class musher’s schedule, or even just a recreational dog driver. We try to combine a very fun, yet competitive race and an easy-going weekend to give any racer a great winter event that also happens to be very family friendly and a blast for spectators in general.

TCSDR, Inc. is a Non-Profit Organization, founded in 1999, operated by volunteers to promote, conduct and support mid-distance sled dog racing in the Midwestern United States and Canada. The 2016 race will start on January 23rd along the Northern shores of Michigan's Upper Peninsula at Muskallonge Lake State Park. A beautiful destination for a race so come out and cheer racers on!

UP 200

The UP200 is one of the top 12-dog mid-distance races in the Midwest, as well as being an Iditarod qualifier. The UP200 trail covers 240 miles of challenging terrain from Marquette to Grand Marais, Michigan and back again through forested land and near-wilderness. Mushers face hills, creek crossings, deep snow, and isolated trail. This race is a test of the musher's skill in navigating and the team's stamina and fitness. If you’re a musher, you won’t want to miss it, and if you’re a spectator, come join the thousands of people who gather to cheer the teams out of the starting gate in Marquette!
