The Tigers girls' basketball team headed down to Rice Lake to face off against the 5-6 Warriors. In the first half the Tigers were able to jump out to a 30-19 lead with two minutes remaining in the first half. Isabella Schmidt scored six of her ten first half points to end the half and bring the game within five. The Warriors continued the run with five straight points to tie the game at 30. Once the Tigers brought their full court press back into the game, they were able to force Rice Lake into many turnovers, with five Tiger players having more than three steals. The Tigers ended the game on the free throw line where Tieryn Plasch hit 15/16 to add to her 37 points. Rice Lake was led by the Scheplee sisters who both posted double-doubles. The Junior, Eliana, finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds and her freshman sister, Adeline, finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds.
With the 76-62 victory the Tigers move to 9-4 on the season. The Tigers will be on the road on Thursday 1/19 as they travel to face St. Croix Falls at 7PM.
